Listen, the grackles have won me over. They’re beautiful (there, I said it). They’re clever, but not so clever that you can trade them food for shiny objects, which admittedly is a shame. On the other hand, I’ve gotten hours of entertainment out of grackles, and crows won’t even caw back at me no matter how friendly I am or how many peanuts I put out.
